Equipment

  • AmazonBasics All-Purpose Wine Glasses
  • Besteek 150 Pcs Gold Paper Straws

Ingredients

Cocktail Mix

  • 14 ounces silver - blanco tequila
  • 7 ounces pomegranate liqueur
  • 1 ½ teaspoons pomegranate molasses
  • orange to garnish

To Finish

  • 1 can blood orange soda
  • orange for garnish

Instructions

  • Add tequila, pomegranate liqueur, and pomegranate molasses to a shaker with ice or appropriate container if refrigerating for later. (See notes).
  • Shake and pour into wine glasses - or other appropriately sized glasses. (See notes).
  • Top with blood orange soda.
  • Garnish with a slice or twist of (preferably) blood orange.

Notes

The tequila mixture can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator (for at least 3 days as we discovered!).
If you start with chilled ingredients, you may skip shaking over ice.
We used standard sized wine glasses, and topped each glass with about 3 ounces of soda.
